FREE DROP OFF RECYCLING FACILITIES
DSI has recycling facilities that accept recycling material at no cost to you. Bring your items to our facility at any time during our business hours. We have containers labeled for each individual item listed below. This is self-serve drop off is inside our building to protect items from weather and contamination. If you need assistance, please stop in our office.
REMINDERS: ❌ Please do not bring in your garbage. This drop-off is for recyclable materials only.
🚗 For safety reasons, you may NOT drive into the building to unload. If you need assistance, please ask.

ITEMS ACCEPTED
Corrugated Cardboard
✔ boxes usually used for packaging/storage/shipping
❌ NO dirty, greasy boxes or chipboard like toilet paper rolls, kleenex boxes, etc.
Office Paper
✔ paper that came from your printer or a notebook
❌ NO kleenexes, junk mail, books, wrapping paper, food wrappers, etc.
Steel Cans
✔ rinsed out food cans like soup; please remove paper labels
❌ NO any other types of metal/steel, tinfoil, pie tins
Aluminum Cans
✔ Beverage cans like soda, beer cans; please leave whole (not crushed)
❌ NO any other types of metal, tinfoil, pie tins
#1 Plastic Bottles
✔ bottles that contained a liquid and came with a screw on lid (please remove lids) - usually water, soda and juice bottles
❌ NO containers not a bottle (ex: strawberry or muffin containers), lids, liquid still in bottles
#2 Plastic Bottles
✔ bottles that usually contain a liquid and came with a screw on lid (please remove lids) - usually milk jugs, laundry detergent, shampoos
❌ NO wide mouth containers that had a snap on lid like ice cream buckets, cool whip, etc, no lids, no oil products or pill bottles
Newspapers
✔ Newspapers and any glossy paper inserts
❌ NO junk mail, other paper products, books, catalogs

ABERDEEN CURBSIDE PROGRAM
The city of Aberdeen and DSI provides a curbside recycling bin pickup service to any residential home that has city water, garbage and sewer services.
- If you live in an apartment, outside of city limits or have garbage picked up by a commercial hauler, please refer to our free drop off facility information.
